I wanted to share some important information about additional help available for people struggling with energy bills or household essentials this winter.
The British Gas Energy Trust has announced an extra £500,000 of support in Scotland to help individuals and families facing financial hardship – on top of its existing grants of up to £2,000.
This includes:
• £250,000 for a new White Goods Scheme, providing essential household appliances like fridges, cookers and washing machines.
• £150,000 for emergency energy vouchers and financial assistance payments.
• £100,000 to strengthen advice services helping households in financial difficulty.
