Today I had the honour of attending Remembrance Services in Alloa, Sauchie and Bridge of Allan. Despite the morning rain, our communities turned out in strength to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In Alloa, I was especially moved by the handmade poppy banner created by local craft group Crochet Comforts. It was clear just how much time, effort and thought went into its creation — a beautiful and heartfelt tribute.

It was inspiring to see people of all ages come together in respect, reflection and gratitude.

We will remember them.
