I’ve lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament welcoming the recent Daily Record article naming Dunblane as Scotland’s friendliest town.
The piece rightly highlights the town’s welcoming atmosphere, strong sense of community and range of attractions – including the Dunblane Heritage Walk, Museum, Cathedral and Leighton Library – as well as local businesses and hospitality venues that play such an important part in its identity.
The motion also recognises the contribution of groups like Dunblane Development Trust and Dunblane Community Council, and community hubs such as the Braeport Centre, Victoria Hall and Dunblane Centre, which help make the town the vibrant place it is.
