This week marks Volunteers’ Week – an opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution of volunteers across Scotland.
I was pleased to begin the week by joining Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) and local third sector leaders at a Leadership Breakfast, where we discussed how to reverse the decline in volunteering and continue to strengthen community involvement across the constituency and beyond.
I’ve also submitted a motion to the Scottish Parliament to recognise the week and pay tribute to the vital work of volunteers across Clackmannanshire & Dunblane – in youth work, health and wellbeing, food provision, environmental projects, and more.

Volunteers play a vital role in improving lives and strengthening communities – often quietly and without recognition. Their contribution deserves our thanks and continued support.
