Keith Brown supports keep safe awareness day 2024

CLACKMANNANSHIRE AND DUNBLANE MSP URGES LOCAL ORGANISATIONS TO SUPPORT DISABLED AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE BY SUPPORTING POLICE SCHEME TO SUPPORT THE PUBLIC

The MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, Keith Brown is calling for organisations in the constituency to take part in Keep Safe Scotland’s awareness day on the 13th of March.

The Keep Safe initiative aims to promote safer and more inclusive communities for all, particularly for those who are disabled or vulnerable, through a network comprising over 900 approved premises across Scotland, providing safe spaces where those individuals can seek assistance, if needed.

These premises undergo approval by Police Scotland and receive free training to ensure they can effectively support those seeking help.

The Keep Safe initiative includes the Keep Safe Card, which allows users to log details about themselves, including any medical conditions and requirements they may have should they need assistance, and the Keep Safe Scotland App, which keeps users informed of where Keep Safe places are available, should they need assistance.

Local MSP Keith Brown is encouraging more organisations in Clackmannanshire and Dunblane to join the Keep Safe network on Keep Safe Awareness Day.

Commenting, SNP MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, Keith Brown, said:

“I’m urging all local organisations to join me in supporting Keep Safe Awareness Day on the 13th of March.”

“By raising awareness of Keep Safe Scotland and encouraging the participation of local people and businesses, we can make our local streets safer and more inclusive for all.”

“I’d urge everyone who could benefit from to get a Keep Safe Card and download the Keep Safe app – ensuring that our communities support those who need it the most.”
