Keith Brown MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Clackmannanshire & Dunblane constituency, has welcomed the publication today by the Scottish Government of a public consultation on a proposed Learning Disabilities, Autism and Neurodivergence Bill.
Speaking this afternoon, Keith said:
“I want to draw the attention of my constituents to the opportunity to contribute to the consultation process on this important piece of proposed legislation.
“Through the consultation, which is available online, the Scottish Government is seeking views from the public on proposals to better protect, respect and champion the rights of people with learning disabilities, autistic people and neurodivergent people.
“Particularly welcome will be the views of those of lived experience whether directly through having one of these conditions or as carer for someone who does.”
