Keith Brown MSP to meet with The Post Office regarding lack of services in Bridge of Allan

Keith Brown MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane recently held a street surgery in Bridge of Allan. While there, Keith met with many constituents, and discussed a wide range of topics.

One recurring theme was that of the lack of postal services available in Bridge of Allan. This has been a long-standing issue for the town with the last post office being closed at the start of this year.

Following this street surgery, Keith reached out to the Post Office to discuss improving the situation in Bridge of Allan and will meet with them in the coming weeks.

Commenting, Keith Brown MSP said:

“At my recent street surgery in Bridge of Allan it was highlighted to me that the lack of Post Office services in Bridge of Allan continues to be an issue for local residents.

“The idea that Bridge of Allan – a town of around 5000 people, many of whom rely on Post Office services – should be entirely without a Post Office, is bizarre.

“Almost 8 months since the previous Post Office closed, there is still a clear and pressing need for these services in Bridge of Allan, as highlighted to me at my recent street surgery.

“That is why I, along with Alyn Smith MP, have requested a meeting with the Post Office to explore potential solutions to the problems caused by the lack of a Post Office.”
